Here are some of the Facts behind many of Hollywoods Most Popular Curses

Ever wondered what came about with these celebrity curses that float around Hollywood? Have you heard about the Dark Knight Curse or Billy Bob Thornton's Death Curse or the Poltergeist Curse?

Well let's just start with those first.

The Dark Knight movie had of course Heath Ledger, starring as the Joker, who died from an overdose of sleeping pills. Allegedly that was the beginning of this curse. Along with this was Christian Bale's assault arrests from his mother and sister, soon followed by actor Morgan Freeman's car accident in which his car rolled down an embankment. Lastly there was a leeser reported incident of a crew member that died while filming an action scene.

The Billy Bob Thornton curse would seem to stop any celebrity from working with the famous actor. Male actors at least as it seems female actors are not plagued by the death curse so far. Out of many actors that were co-stars to Thornton there were a few that perished and a few that were lucky to survive despite the so called death curse. Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight, Bernie Mac from Bad Santa, even Jim Varney who played the famous character Ernest all worked with Billy Bob and some have gone so far as to blame their deaths on his curse. Many were spared though such as Morgan Freeman, Shia LeBeouf and Patrick Swayze, all of whom were involved in accidents or other mishaps.

The Poltergeist curse is one of the most well known and famous of all curses around Hollywood. Many believed that the use of real skeletons in the pool scene of the movie Poltergest was the source and the reason for the curse. Stars of the movie such as Dominique Dunee, 22 years old, died by her being strangled by her boyfriend. Julian Beck, 60, died of stomach cancer. Heather O'Rourke who played Carol Anne, died from septic shock and Louis Perryman was hacked repeatedly with an axe and murdered by Seth Tatum. These are only a few that were affected by the curse.

Another famous curse is that of James Dean's death car. The Silver Porsche Spyder, known as Little Bastard. Soon after it was purchased it had broken both legs of mechanic George Barris and continued to bring on a string of weird accidents. Little Bastard is the cause of at least two deaths including the death of James Dean himself.

The Exorcist movie can be considered a curse of its own. With many deaths, strange happenings and accidents all related to the release and showing of this movie it is a wonder that it is still shown at all. There were heart attacks recorded all over the world while the film premiered, the death toll surrounding the areas in Georgetown rose for some reason after the film was released and strange behaviors amongst the crew such as hysteria, fainting and vomiting were also taking affect while the movie was being filmed. Rumors spread that nine people died during the filming of the movie, including Linda Blair's grandfather and Jack McGowen who died of a heart attack soon after completing his role.

Films, tv shows, dramas, comedies are going to continue to be made in Hollywood regardless of the past curses that have already stalked or claimed celebrities lives. There are some celebrity curses that have quickly been proven false, but what about the curses that continue to take lives or are the source of a string of unusual accidents?

WHY does everyone forget Natasha Richardson who was also in Waking up in Reno and In March 2009, she died suddenly, after falling and receiving a head injury whilst skiing in Canada??
